Great for wood floors
I've purchased this broom from Amazon about 2 months ago and did not even realize such things could really make me happy. :)) It is great for wood floors, does its job very good, soft and efficient, and looks durable (and we sweep every day, because of the kids). Also the length is adjustable, so my kids love "to help" me with that. Very good quality.

Very Nice Broom
This is a very nice broom. Lightweight, but sturdy. Handle extends smoothly with little effort and has hole at end for easy storage on a hook. The horsehair bristles are soft/fine and work wonderfully well on all manner of dust and dirt on wood floors.

pretty darn good
I ordered this broom even having read the review entitled 'worst broom ever' as it appeared the reviewer didn't know how to use the broom. Sure enough I tried it out on my new hardwood floor & it worked beautifully in gathering dirt that I couldn't even see & without scratching the floor. You don't push down on it, madam, yes the soft bristles bend if you do, you just sweep with it & it gathers fine dirt & pet hair very well; of course it would not work on the sidewalk. That's where you need those hard bristle-brooms you prefer. This soft bristled broom gathers surface dirt & pet hair off a polished wood floor very well. It also worked very well on my tile floors. I'm glad I found it.
