Much better than the Graco Silhouette Line!
I don't write many reviews on Amazon, but my wife and I felt that this one really needed one, especially since there are no reviews yet. We originally purchased a Graco Silhouette based on the Baby 411 book. After the first use, we were skeptical - it didn't soothe at all, actually it made him more upset. We tried multiple times again, even when he was quiet, but to no avail. Every time we put him in, it was the same result - he cried. We ended up returning the swing and assumed that our baby didn't like swings. Fast forward a month and we thought we'd give it another shot, so we purchased the Snuggabunny. We're so glad we tried again, because he loves the Snuggabunny! He can literally go from crying to sleeping within a couple of minutes. Fantastic swing
I absolutely love this swing. I have no complaints as it is... cute, sits in a comfy reclined position, plush texture against babies delicate skin, has multiple speeds to swing, sturdy allowing you peace of mind your little one is safe, pleasant melodies and it plugs in. I'm all for any baby product that doesn't take batteries, Duracell is getting enough of my money as it is.LOL. I have a baby due in Feb. 2011 and a 15mo old son that is into everything. Once the swing arrived I put it together and let him try it out. (I wont be putting him in this swing again nor do I recommend anyone else doing so with a baby this age, its not safe as he could fall and get hurt trying to get out.)Just the same I had to add that tidbit in here since he loved it so much he went to sleep within 5 min of being in it with a sweet peaceful look on his face. Quiet swing! Great exchange of swings!
Our baby girl is 11 weeks old. We bought her the fisher price sugar plum swing honestly...only for the looks. Little did we realize it's super loud and the motor started to make a clicky noise after just 5 days! I then got online and read horrible reviews about the swing so my husband and I went back to BRU and exchanged it for the less expensive, luv u zoo cradle swing and it was the best decision ever! We've owned it for over 2 months and never looked back!I have to disagree with the precious reviewer that posted a bad review saying the motor is loud. It Is super quiet! The trick to it is if you hear the motor at all, just separate the legs farther apart again and it will be quiet again. Wonderful Bouncer!
I bought this because none of the other bouncers seemed to 'cradle' a newborn. The little lamb bouncer is almost identical to this in appearance and comfort but does not bounce - it's stationary. This is the best of both worlds because it is very cozy for a new baby yet has the ability to actually bounce (you have to use your hand to make it bounce - it's not automatic). Also, while both the little lamb bouncer and this bouncer have a vibrate feature, the little lamb shuts off after 10 minutes. This bouncer's vibrate stays on until you turn it off. My daughter loves to be bounced on a yoga ball and it was killing my back and I can bounce this aggressively enough where it simulates me bouncing her on the ball.

Lifesaver!!
I decided early on in my pregnancy that I was going to spend more than average on a bouncer and while the price may be quite a bit higher than other bouncers it is completely worth it. Being a mom in college I NEED something that will keep my son calm while I finish homework, and this is it. The vibration seems to be very soothing, I don't find the music or bird sounds very soothing because I just don't think the volume goes up loud enough but I don't need those things anyways :) The vibrations and the toys are enough to keep baby entertained. It also looks to be very comfortable, it is a really soft plush material and the insert really cushions him. The bouncer is completely adorable and looks great! I would highly recommend this bouncer.

He loves his chair!!
My 8 week old loves his bouncy chair and has since day one! It cradles him well as if I were still holding him and is nice and sturdy. The assembly was easy and took only about 30 minutes. We took off the birdie mobile because it was getting in the way. It's simple to remove and put back on though so maybe as he gets older we will put it back on and possibly hang other toys from it too!The reasons for the 4 instead of the 5 stars are as follows:1.) It is a bit bulkier than other bouncy seats and the legs stick out farther than the basket of the seat, so we have tripped over the legs multiple times. It's hard to judge where the legs are when carrying baby!!2.) It goes through batteries quickly. We are on our third set of batteries in 8 weeks. An Absolute MUST HAVE!
As first time parents, I think the biggest thing going into those first few nights is to realize that you're going to want to do everything you can to keep you baby safe and you sane. The first night with my son, we tried the crib, he wanted nothing to do with that. The second night we borrowed a bassinet. That would work for about an hour. Then someone mentioned our baby might have some reflux, which is very common in infants. better than original model
We bought this after reading many reviews about a flat head related to the regular rock n play. Our little one has reflux & needs to sleep elevated. I love that it is easy to move around the house, it rocks and is really nice and plush. I added another blanket under the padding to change the arch of babies head when in it. We use it at night & it is the perfect height for right next to the bed. We didn't buy until 6 weeks old & with a small newborn I am not sure she would have been big enough right away. There is a harness that I don't use anymore because it wakes baby up when I have to fish around for it & loudly snap it. It has a deep scooped shape, so until she can sit herself up that much- no need for buckle now. Although it did keep her from ending up sideways early on (she is petite).

Best swing!
We originally had the graco sweetpeace swing which was the worst purchase EVER. We went through 4 of them before I was like that's it! I decided to pick this up and I am glad I did!! My daughter is 10 months and still fits in it but we put it away for the next baby. But this was the best, it's so soft..the motions are so soothing. It's an overall really good product. I'm sad to hear that other reviewers had a bad experience but everyone I know has this swing with no issues. Fisher price has one of the best customer service I have ever seen so they will exchange out for a new one asap. I highly recommend this to new parents- you won't be sorry!

No AC Adapter, but Runs Forever on D. Rather Loud.
I was looking through the Fisher Price Cradle n Swing products, and decided on the My Little Lamb "color." I didn't realize that it didn't come with an AC adapter or jack for one. Well, I guess that is my fault. It takes D batteries, and it seems to run forever on them. We have had it running for approximately eighteen hours a day for two weeks, and it is still running well.The swing and the mobile are both very loud. The mechanics inside the device click and grind, and you can hear them from the other end of the house. I have to max out the music volume just to hear it over the machine. We don't even use the music often, because the swing is so noisy.Our daughter is only six weeks old and weighs just under ten pounds. Phenomenal Swing!
I am so glad that we spent the extra money and bought this swing. I put this swing together in about 30 min while I was 35 weeks pregnant and on modified bed rest. It was a cinch, and the directions were self explanatory. I never had the slightest problem.The design and color of this swing is a perfect match for our homes decor and paint. The swing itself feels sturdy and comfortable. The cover comes off easily to wash and the mobile is just enough to keep baby entertained but not restrict the view for him to look else where and for us to see him. The seat comes off so easily and turns directions without any effort. It is so easy to place the seat back on the swing, no need to jostle baby around. I was very pleasantly surprised how high the seat actually sits up off the floor when not on the swing. It is almost chair or couch height which is perfect. Easy Assembly, Sturdy Construction
The swing took us less than half an hour to assemble and required only a Phillips screwdriver. One minor problem: we had to re-thread the mobile so it could hang properly. The assembled swing has a 26-by-33-inch footprint and stands 47 inches tall with the mobile attached, so it takes up quite a bit of room. This is something to consider if you have limited living space. However, the base folds together easily, so you can lean it against a wall when it's not in use.

Great swing. Ambiguous instructions
I will agree with the previous reviewer that the assembly instructions leave a bit to be desired. In particular:1. The infant seat legs can be installed backwards (and it looks like it would take a screwdriver plus a lot of elbow grease to ease the locking "tabs" back out to separate the parts again -- I was lucky and guessed right the first time)2. There's some white foam wrapped around the inner support bars of the seat frame that have a "do not cut" sticker on them. That does NOT mean "find some other way to remove this packing material besides cutting it off".. those styrofoam pads are supposed to STAY on the bars (as cushioning since they are right next to the baby under the seat material), so DO NOT REMOVE THEM at all. The tubes are white (i.e. don't match the rest of the swing) which makes it look as if they don't belong in the assembled product at first, so it would be easy to mistakenly rip them off in the initial frenzy of unpacking.3. Almost perfect
As a first-time parent, my newborn daughter loves this. She is kinda fussy and wants to be held all the time, but putting this on with vibrations and sound will soothe her and if repeated cycle after cycle will put her to sleep. That leads to the first "con" - the built in timer doesn't last long enough. They should either have a longer timer, or the option to have it constant on (un-timered). I am still on my first set of batteries, but can see how this might be a hog for them. So the other "con" is they should maybe offer a dual power source - have it run on batteries for portability, but maybe offer an AC adapter so you can put it in one place and let it be.I'm still giving it 5 stars because these are ways to improve what is already a good product, not something "wrong" with it.As for some of the other negative comments: It's not a bouncy seat, BUT it's not advertised as such; "It didn't work for my baby" - it's a baby, not a robot. One of the best baby items you can get!
I am a first time mom of a baby boy, who is now 10 months old. For the first few months, there was absolutely nothing better - of all of the items on my very comprehensive registry, this seat was one of the best, most useful things I received. It is soft, comfortable, plays music my son loved and was soothed by, and was just terrific. I never review anything, on any site, yet I heavily rely on other reviews when buying something. I must say, this is terrific. I suggest getting this and a fisher price bouncy seat. We had the rainforest bouncer and it was similarly an excellent, useful purchase. FP is the best company - better than the more expensive brands.

Sammy loves his lambie!!!
My baby loves this seat! He was premature, so it was a perfect place to put him in for a nap or for extra soothing and comfort. I LOVE how soft the headrest and body are. I wish I'd had something like this when I was a baby! Not that I would remember it anyway!:)When I purchased it, I got it for a steal. $30 from $60. So I already loved it because of that! I can't tell you how many times this product has kept Sammy entertained when I needed to get homework done, or take a shower. I would bring the lamb seat in the bathroom and put him in it while I showered. He would either fall asleep, or just sit there and listen to the music and enjoy the vibration. I know it really soothes him. I've only seen him bat at the hanging lamb a couple of times; I'm not sure why he's not more interested in it? Overall though, I have loved this product, and I know he has too. I would definitly recommend it to a friend!
