Superb Car Stereo
I purchased this stereo because I wanted a car stereo with Bluetooth, a little extra power, better sound quality, and flash drive support. I'm happy to say that this stereo performs all these functions well. Installing the stereo is just like installing any other stereo, except for installing the microphone. The best spot for the microphone is probably the A pillar (at the top). It sounds complicated, but the microphone took about 15 min. to install. I ran the cable down through the rubber seal on the side of the door, but how you mount the microphone depends on your car. The Bluetooth works very well. What I start up the car, the radio automatically connects to my phone. Music through Bluetooth sounds pretty good, although it can be a little fizzy. Call quality is great; everyone can hear me well (they can even hear the person in the passenger seat), and everything sounds right. Budget price, premium options
A stereo has died in my 10 year old car and I've started looking for replacement. This unit fit the bill perfectly. Although, I never heard about Dual brand, little i-net search revealed that it is quite sound; not a no-name Chinese garage built. This unit is very feature rich and, as far as I can tell, so far all of them work. Can't comment on iPod interface, as I use any/everything but iCrap. Bluetooth works like a charm - picks up my phone when I start the car and stay connected. I placed a microphone behind the steering wheel. People can hear me well (better than a headset I used before, and I can hear them perfectly through the speakers. Bluetooth music streaming (from the phone) works decently as well. USB port (a #1 selling point for me) works very fast and well. Disks play good. I'd say that the interface could be a bit more streamlined, but for the price, it's too much to ask. Wonderful radio for a great price - installed in a Smart 451 ForTwo
I purchased this Dual receiver because I wanted my phone to connect via bluetooth. Previously, I was using the aux/line in connector to connect my phone up to play audio and receive calls. The problem with this is that if you decided to switch the recevier over to CD or radio, any calls you receive on the phone go to... nowhere. With the bluetooth functionality, any incoming call mutes the other audio and plays the call over the speaker. I have tested this part of it, and it works well. One caveat: the included microphone has a clip that doesn't seem to clip to anything. I tried it all over the car: rearview mirror, air vents, plastic trim, nothing. I did finally get it to clip onto one of the air vents, but every time I touch it, it pops off. I will end up using a piece of double sided tape or velcro to fix this. I also tried it in my wife's car, a Ford Escape, with similar issues. Maybe they expect you to clip it onto your shirt as you drive...

Best baseline model
Basically Pyle is one of your respected "Brand-X" manufacturers. Compared to all the baseline models having these features, you're getting the same exact features and quality the major commercial name brands give you for $100+ more. Good touch screen, good EQ options with a super bass mode and loudness control. More than ample ins and outs on the rear deck. Plenty of power but obviously outboard amps are a necessity these days. Great radio reception, I grab all my favorite city based radio stations just about anywhere I go which is from up to 50+ miles away. Remote has plenty of interface controls. Disc loading is fast, aux, USB/SD reading is instant and plays Divx the same it would off disc. All your settings menus are incredibly thorough as well, lots of options to suit any of your needs. My only complaint is to put the SD card in, you have to pop the face place off. Beyond that it's a really good baseline unit for the money. Much better than...

Great Price! Good Product!
This headunit is a great value. It does everything it says. For the price you can't beat it. When I first ordered it I was kinda nervous; My biggest concern was picture quality. I expected it to be very pixeled because of the low price and lower name brand. But the picture is great! The only thing that this unit doesn't have that higher end units do is GPS. But you can purchase an upgraded model that does. I don't need it since I have GPS in my Droid-x. The installation was a breeze. For anyone with any experience, it was very self explanatory. The manual is horrible as others said because it is translated from another language but all the wires are very clearly marked. There is a safety feature on this unit so that you can't watch video while driving. I thought it defeated the purpose of buying this unit; since I wanted video for my pasengers to watch while I drive. But don't worry it is VERY easy to bypass. All you must do is connect the pink "parking brake" wire to ANY ground on...

Economical simple and flexible
Simple little device that is very flexible. The radio reception AM and FM is good both in the city and on the highway. Music from the SD card is the easiest way to use the "mech less" device. Be aware that the unit is limited to 16gb, not a real limitation with the SD card but I have an older generation ipod that is 20gb and it will not play through the USB port. However, I can use the auxiliary port with the ipod just fine. The built-in amplifier is not terribly powerful but does put out some good sound in my 1988 VW Vanagon which has a big interior space. I need to turn up the volume control almost all the way if I want it to play loudly. But there are jacks on the unit to connect an external amplifier. Hey, what can you expect for $40. All in all, I am quite satisfied and think that you get a lot of basic features for a cheap price. We shall see how it's long term durability is in a few years but I assume since it's all electronic (hence the term mech less)that there's not much...

Liked it so much I bought another.
I bought 2 of these radios in the past couple of months and I am really impressed with the quality considering the price. I had never purchased any other products by Dual in the past so I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. Because of the low price and overall favorable reviews I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. I would like to address some of the issues I have read in other reviews and add my two cents. First of all, many have complained about the low output of this unit. It is a 60 Watt output which means 15 watts per channel. Not a lot but not exactly weak either. I think some may have interpreted this as 60 Watts per channel so that would account for the disappointment. I never had a problem with the output from my OEM Radio and I was just looking for something with more input options, so in my case the 60 Watts was more than enough. If you want this thing to crank out power you WILL need an amp, but for a good sounding radio playing at...

Best single din player
This is the best single din player I have come across. I used sony xplod series earlier and have also used kenwood but I realized when I used Pioneer that it is a class apart. I have 4X4 infinity reference speakers installed. 1st time I used my pioneer, I thought "Do I have a sub in my car that I dont know about". I mean, I could actually feel the real power of infinity without amp just by installing pioneer!! This system is amazing. I can tune it the way I want it too. It has HPF and LPF, so if I had an amp or sub, i can make use of it. One of the best thing about this is the blue OLED screen. Though I would have loved it to be 1.5 times or 2 times bigger than what it is but its great. Lot of options to choose from. I can also setup alarm on it (though i've never used it). The sound reproduction is very clear. Dont buy the pioneer cable for ur iphone. Your regular charging cable will work just fine. The negative: Only thing I dont like is...

Very nice for the price
I was replacing a 5 year old Pioneer head unit in my truck. For under $200 I don't know how you could ask for anything more. I have 6 speakers in the doors and a sub under the rear seat all run off of 2 amplifiers. When I plugged my iPod into this deck, I had never heard the music on it sound so good. I have used stereos where you plug into a 3.5mm jack from the iPod and there is a huge difference in sound when hooked up via USB. There is no distortion from the additional digital to analog conversions. The display on this unit is a little small, but it displays a lot of information. The control is a little clumsy at first, but after a while it seems intuitive. As another note, don't bother with the iPod cord from Pioneer. Just use the one you use to hook up to your computer. It works just fine.

Very nice "budget" stereo
I'd had enough of my Ram's stock stereo, so I bought this unit to upgrade it. The difference was immediate and dramatic even when driving the OEM speakers (which I have since replaced). Very good sound quality, tight iPod integration, the Aux and USB inputs up front are a godsend, and it looks really sweet. Highly recommended with a few caveats: 1. The product picture gives the idea that there is some kind of electroluminescent thing happening behind the volume knob. This is misleading and I wish Amazon would do something about it. Still though, the clear plastic behind the volume knob *is* blue tinted and I like how it looks. I think if it was actually lit (like the picture implies), it would be a bit much. 2. When the head unit is set up to control your iPod, it's sllloooowwww. It would take FOREVER to scroll down to, say, Slayer. Maybe I just didn't give myself enough time to get used to it, but because of this, I just control the iPod...

ANOTHER great Pioneer!
Installed in 1995 Ford F150 XLT Ext. cab w/stock {for now} speakers. Installation took about an hour, direct replacement of the factory HU. Pretty basic once you get the original HU out. I've had my P7200HD for about a month now. The HD sig reception is great and I've had no probs breaking/losing signal. Having the 3 row display is nice for song info, etc. ipod {I'm using USB2.0 cable} controls are great and ipod can be controlled from HU or ipod, which is nice for passengers. Audio control gives many options for tailoring personal tastes. I've been able to fine tune to where my factory speakers sound pretty darn good. {Still going to upgrade them though.} I haven't tested the CD/XM/bluetooth capabilities yet, but I'm confident that they will perform as well as the rest of the system. On a scale of 1-10 I give the P7200HD a 9.5. The only improvement that I would have would be a dedicated ipod connection from the rear of the unit...

Best Deck with most options for the price
This is a great deck with a 3 sets of 4 volt pre-outs, a built in hd-radio tuner, and usb and ipod capabilities. Great deck for functionality. The only two things I would have liked to see are a fold down face to cover the cd entry slot and a second usb port in the rear of the unit to allow a hidden usb connection somewhere in your vehicle. Still beggers can't be choosers and I found through extensive comparison that this product had more of the features that I was looking for the best price. Thank amazon for the lowest price and super saver shipping.

Great sound, Great Value. Hate the controller knob.
I like this Head Unit and I'd buy it again for what I want in a head unit for all the reasons you can see in the description and other reviews, but be warned it has one major detractor in my opinion. The Multi Control knob which is basically a volume knob on steroids and can not only twist but can be tilt clicked up down left and right and center is sometimes a pain to operate when driving. I can't count the times that I have tried to hit the center click which activates the main menu so that I could fine adjust some audio only to accidently hit a directional click (sending me usually not just off song, but to root of directory) instead because of road vibration. It's kinda hard to hit center click consistantly when the car is moving and your driving. You have to look down, make sure your in the center and then hope the next pebble you drive over doesnt jerk you off your tiny target. I'd much prefer a multiple button setup. Also even when you hit the clicks right sometimes...

Another great car CD Player from Pioneer
For the past 4 years I've been using a Pioneer DEH-P6700MP car stereo which is almost identical to the . I really liked the Pioneer as it seemed to really be able to liven up my 1998 Toyota Corolla factory speakers and had several features I regularly used and loved. I decided it was time to upgrade recently as my old Pioneer was having difficulty playing CDs while the AC was on, and it was making ticking sounds with many of my CDs. I decided right off the bat I was going to stick with Pioneer. I spent a few days researching units and the main thing I kept noticing with many of the new 2010 Pioneer CD Players was the choice of going with one that had HD Radio or going with one that had Bluetooth functionality. It doesn't appear you can get a Pioneer with both. I decided to go with the HD Radio functionality...

Nice little head unit - with some quirks
I installed the P5200HD in a Mustang with a Mach460 sound system. I chose to go old school and hard wired it without using a wiring harness; but, please save yourself a few hours and get the wiring harness! The things I like about this receiver are: 1) The unit puts out incredible sound and the HD radio is crystal clear. I live just North of Austin and haven't noticed any of the cutting out that other reviewers have described. I'm sure the quality of your local HD radio stations will impact your experience quite a bit. 2) I love that I can plug a USB thumb drive full of songs into the receiver! To me, this is far more convenient than using CDs or even pluggin in my iPod most of the time. 3) Although I prefer using the USB thumb drive, the ability to use my iPod through the radio is also great. Nice head unit. Good feature set. Poor implementation of reading USB storage devices.
This is a typically good Pioneer head unit. The sound quality is good. The ergonomics are pretty decent. The ability to shape the sound (equalizer settings, etc.) are fine. The detachable faceplate works fine and is useful for those who live or park in higher crime areas. Pioneer makes some of the better head units, and this one is perfectly in line with the typical qualities of their lines. The current price for feature set is also reasonably attractive. What I don't like, and why I'm docking this to three stars, is the implementation of the one set-apart feature of this head unit, namely the ability to connect an iPod of USB storage device through a USB port in the head unit. Sounds like a great idea, and I was quite excited to be able to use it. I duly copied a bunch of folders of music to a multi Gb USB storage "thumb drive", attached the drive to the unit, and started to navigate the music on the drive... ...only to discover that the unit presents the...
