Bright - not blue
I am very happy with this product! I was concerned the light from these bulbs would be too blue (a weird process some vendors are using to "enhance" vision). The light from these bulbs is white, very bright white, intense, strong, penetrating, etc. Immediately after changing the bulbs in my cars (Explorer and BMW 3) I noticed the street signs appeared far in the distance. I can see the signs at least 100 to 150 feet further away. The light coming from the Nighthawk bulbs is not random or omnidirectional, it is highly focused in front of the car.

Satisfied with the light quality and the life.
I was tired of the Sylvania Silverstar and others burning out so rapidly. One went out in 3 months! Had read that these have good light output and active life. The bulbs are true to both claims. I used them in my 2002 Mazda Protege5, and the light is better than the stock, and they've lasted me more than 6 months, and still going. I hope they last a while. I am definitely going to prefer these over the sylvania light bulbs from now on.

A good replacement bulb at a great price
I installed this on my 2007 BMW 335 coupe to replace a stock bulb. There is no difference in lighting between this bulb and the stock bulb that was still working on my other headlight. Definitely a do it yourself job versus going to the dealership to do it for you for a lot more money. You can find a youtube video telling you how to do it yourself. Top to learn more

Ok, not bright, not blue
Four months installed in a 2003 Honda Element, no problems. But they're not any perceivably brighter than the standard Autozone bulbs I had in before (I replaced one in the dark and compared the two on a dark night). And they're not really the "blue" ones that you see on the road. Not sure what those are. Top to learn more

Good Lights
These lights are a great replacement for a Jeep Wrangler's OEM fog lights. HOwever, remember that these are twice the wattage of the OEM bulbs and you should make a new wiring harness for the fog lights so that the new amperage doesn't fry your OEM fogt light wiring. Top to learn more

Almost like true Xenons
These bulbs don't quite have the same color as my factory Xenon lights (2006 MINI Cooper S). However, even though the Xenons are only 35W, these Hella 100W bulbs have about the same light output. I've used them a couple of times on the interstate as fog lights, and no one really objected to their brightness level. Top to learn more

Driving lights for my Kawasaki
Low price, good quality light output. I bought a used Kawasaki Vulcan and the previous owner had used 55 watt driving lights. These were too powerful for the circuit he wired them to, and thus kept blowing the fuse. I bought these 35 watt lights and problem was solved. A very useful site to determine how many amps are being pulled is here: [..] Two 55 watt bulbs on a 12 volt system draw over 9 amps, while two 35 watt bulbs only draw only 5.8 amps. Top to learn more

Good seller, right bulb...good source for odd lightbulbs
There is not a whole lot you can say about light bulbs...either you get the right one and it works until the filament burns out, or you get the wrong one. The seller sent the correct bulb, quickly, and they had my bulb which isn't the most common type. I'm happy. Top to learn more

Great bulb at a great price
Used this to replace a burned out bulb on my Yamaha Road Star. It went on without a problem and does what a light bulb should. Like another reviewer mentioned, the local shops all carry the right size bulb, but the wrong power. I needed the 35W bulb specifically, they all had 50W or higher, and all costing over $20. A+++ VISIBILITY
First off, I just read through most of the reviews for this product and was very disappointed with what I saw. I have used these bulbs before, replacing OEM 9007 fittings and the improvement was phenomenal! I used the Silverstar Ultras for over a year before selling my car without needing to replace bulbs again and the increased visibility is worth every penny for what these cost. If you price check this product it's $50 at any auto retail store Autozone/Checker. Proper Installation: I'm not sure whether or not those other people who gave bad reviews for reliability/life of the bulb installed them properly. If ANY dirt or oil from your hands gets on the bulbs while you install them, kiss them goodbye and just buy new ones. These bulbs burn much hotter than OEM bulbs and proper installation is CRUCIAL. To make it easier, just buy the $2 installation kit at Autozone/Checker auto parts stores and it will come with bulb grease to ensure good... Top to learn more

Great for Volvos
Anyone that owns a Volvo knows that their policy of not wanting to blind the passing cars at night leaves you with very little distance or throw of light from the OEM bulbs. It dim and it's yellow. We have been using the Ultra for 3 years now, and prefer them over the OEM and the regular Silverstars. A couple of days ago the viscous fan started to "roar", or more correctly, when the engine is at idle, most often now I hear a roaring noise from the front somewhere which I assume is the viscous fan coupling acting up. Sometimes when the engine... I therefore am not certain that the "regulator" inside the alternator, (Transpo part # IN6349), really is a regulator in the old sense of the term but instead an instruction receiver from the ECU that translates Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signals... the middle pin, #2 receives a PWM signal from the ECM, and the right pin, #3 sends a PWM signal back to the ECM.
I figured I post a quick How-To since it took me quite a while to figure out the 5 pins coming out for the switch in order to get everything to work (i. e. driving lights on/off, lighting of the switch with dimming, and the orange light... This is the switched used with the factor driving light kit and the good news is that switch and mounting kit available seperately from the $700+ driving light kit. Over the weekend I fitted the Factory Lr3 2nd driving light switch to my IPF 960 driving lights.
I need the front bumper, the driver side Fender as well as the driver side headlight/turning signal with the molding and the the mounts that keep it in place mine are broken. I would also like the rear passenger side taillight and the passenger side front seat controll counsel.
