Beats driving to the auto store.
I purchased this adapter because it seemed to have better compatibility in comparison to some of the other ones(blue & orange) on Amazon. I tested this adapter on a 2001 Lexus IS300 and and 2002 Chevy Tahoe using the Torque lite app via a CM7 HP Touchpad. The adapter easily yet firmly fit into both of the OBD2 ports. After setting up and syncing the devices together it began to display all sorts of useful data such as Engine RPM, Temperature, O2 voltages, Intake G/S, and some other statistics. I'm not sure if it is a limitation of the cars ECU's or the Torque app but some data failed to display (main voltage, mpg, a few others). I never got to read/erase diagnostic codes because one car had the codes wiped out prior to checking and the other vehicle simply wasn't throwing any codes. Overall I think its a pretty good product, because it works, is inexpensive and it beats driving to the parts store.

Problems with bluetooth connection - UPDATED
I received this item in the mail yesterday (very quickly I might add) and immediately connected it to my 2009 Chevy Impala. My phone (Motorola Admiral with Android Gingerbread)paired with the device but would not connect and read any information from scanner. When I got home I tried a 2011 Impala with the same results. Today I tried it again in my 2003 Porsche Boxster with no results. I grabbed my Vizio 8 Tablet with Android Gingerbread tried to sync with the scanner and Porsche combo but it still will not work.I have tried inserting the device, turning the car on, pairing then opening the Torque app in that sequence. No worky.I tried turning on the car, inserting the device, pairing then Torque. Still no worky.One thing to note the device will illuminate the LEDs on the front of the unit from red to yellow to green and back again before staying red. I have contacted the seller and requested support and will update this review...

I think the greatest frustration in shopping for this type of product is verifying a custom fit design. I was lead to believe this was a custom fitted product - NOT SO! While this is well made of heavy rubber, it is a generic design that requires trimming to get an OK but not perfect fit. Top to learn more

Trim to fit
These are trim to fit mats. I tried them but still didn't like the fit. Went with Weathertechs instead for more custom fit. Quality is good, just not happy with trim to fit style. Top to learn more
Anyone else out there got a view on the way forward for a compact seven-seat Land Rover. Also known as the ‘seven-seat Freelander’, L486 has quietly been slipped onto the back-burner, even though LR at one time planned to reveal it at Geneva earlier this year. Even though LR faces ever-increasing competition - BMW now has three SUVs and Audi is heading that way - they only have one seven-seat model each. Then take the four-wheel drive and axles being developed for the new alloy-bodied Range Rover and Range Rover Sport and take some mass out to better match the smaller footprint of the ‘compact’. A Land Rover for people who don't need to use the usual off road ability to the max but still want all of the other Land Rover capabilities. 0-litre V6, the ‘compact seven-seater’ needs a more compact footprint, which a week with the Disco 4 suggests should be a couple of inches off the three main dimensions, maybe more on the height. Unfortunate as its delay is, I wonder if this break in the link between the Freelander, the L486 (let’s call it the ‘compact seven-seater’) and Halewood might just be what the project needs for Land Rover to do a neat strategic U-turn on this... I've been driving a Discovery 4 this week - a brilliant vehicle, incidentally - and it made me wonder how Land Rover can sprinkle some of its magic on the company’s other seven-seater, the L486. I don’t know what clever stuff the LR engineering team is planning for the baby Range Rover, but one thing is for sure: the powertrain will be derived from Ford/Volvo units, be transverse-mounted and major on four-cylinder units. The shift down in size would also allow the Disco to get bigger next time around - the inevitable result of having to compete in the US - and maybe ditch its LR badges to become the Range Rover Family or some similar name.
