Easy to install- 1. Open the sunroof 2. Place sunroof wind deflector in front of opening with curved side facing back. 3. Center deflector (If you can't determine the center, place a small piece of masking tape along sunroof front opening just out of the way and measure for center and mark it with a pencil, and also find the center of the deflector using the same method this will allow you to align for proper alignment for installation.) 4. TEMPORARILY tape the clips to the sunroof flange (lip or trim ring that you will find in OEM factory-installed sunroofs). 5. Put one screw thru the hole in the deflector and on into the hole in the top of the clip. You will have to exert quite a bit of pressure on the deflector to get the screw to feed thru the hole this is entirely normal. 6. Screw thumbnut from below and slowly tighten, allowing the open end of clip to clamp on lower edge of sunroof opening. 7. Repeat steps on other side, but you should tighten each side just a little as you go and keep deflector centered.

If you install a sunroof deflector to your vehicle, you are adding a designed aesthetics to your car. Your car will look different, and sophisticated. make sure you silicone the drip trays back ont0 the frame and silicone the screws that hold the drip tray onto the frame. I stripped mine right back including the plastic trays that the drain tubes are attached to. everything was stripped cleaned and resealed on both sunroofs.

I had to chip the glue all out to get the sunroof out before I could fix it. While I highly dislike people gluing a sunroof, I will say that RTV is the only glue that will actually make a water tight seal. Both the front and rear sunroofs leak but they leak differently. Another possibility is the seal broken between the top of the roof and the outer sunroof trim [which can happen if the roof had someone stand up there]. I used RTV when I reset my sunroofs so that seal (top of roof to outer trim) can't leak. So you may have read that my 98 D1 had sunroof problems when I got it. They both leaked and yes the rear roof had a nice waterfall effect under certain conditions. If it rains enough to completely fill the tray water will start pouring out the top (usually at the back of the sunroof). This sunroof usually does not leak if it starts raining while I am driving. 1998 Discovery Series I LE. I need some suggestions on how to make my sunroofs stop leaking. The rear sunroof is the main problem.
