If original Magna Cart and the Elite 2 had a baby...
The Magna Cart "Ideal" is apparently the next step in the evolution of the original Magna Cart. It seems new as of March 2009. In the meantime, the manufacturer Welcom came out with the "Magna Cart Elite 2". All 3, as of this writing, are available on Amazon, but I expect the Ideal is the replacement of the original Magna Cart, which I expect to become extinct soon.Bolstering that notion is the fact I saw some original Magna Carts in my local Big Lots store (same price as Amazon, but Amazon had free shipping). So, I've now been able to handle both.What I can say is the differences between the original and Ideal are incremental, and not as big as I had thought. Basically, the Ideal is an "Elite 2" model, scaled down to the size of the original Magna Cart. What a great idea. Solidly Built Foldable Handtruck Works Great!
Very Happy~!Pros:1) I'm 6FT tall and the handle telescopes to a reasonable height, other models seem to be too short this one is perfect.2) Solid construction does not feel like cheap plastic, the cart says that it can carry 150LB load, and to be honest I bet it can, this surprised me.3) Value for Money another well built Chinese product.Con's: None.

We have one and love it!
I actually bought this on Ebay, but am about to buy a second one here because it's cheaper on Amazon!This is a fabulous little dolly. It's not really just a luggage cart..everyone has wheeled luggage these days anyway.We use it in our warehouse to haul 70 pound boxes around and it fits into the car easily so that when it's time to drop off a mountain of boxes at the PO or haul home the things I order on Amazon (grin), it's right there.Getting a second one so that we can keep one at home, too.We tried other folding carts and they couldn't handle the weights we were putting on them. This one is great and the price can't be beat.Don't try this at home, kids, but I was able to lift my 175 pound hubby off the floor and wheel him around on it..it's one tough little dolly.Update 3 years later: These carts have seen almost daily usage for nearly 3 years now and are still in perfect condition. I have never had a 'personal'...

Great little hand truck. Will buy again.
I organized all my camping stuffs in several 12-gallon size storage containers. I use this handy truck to transfer those storage containers from car to the tent site. Initiallzy, I was worried if the wheel is too small for outside unpaved roads. But it turns out just fine. The whole construction of this hand truck is solid. Especially, the flat side on the bottom for carrying loads is long enough (not the width) to ensure stable rolling on unpaved roads around camping side. It works great for moving things around. Very good value for this low price. Definitely a good product that I will buy again and I will recommend to my friends.

Nice hand truck
I'm moving across the country in a few weeks so I decided to purchase a relatively small and light hand truck to do the heavy lifting for me. I really like the fold-up convenience of the Magna Cart Elite 2 because it stores easily in a closet or other out-of-the-way location yet seems to have the capability of easily handling heavy boxes.Expanding the hand truck is as easy as pressing the yellow button, sliding the handle all the way up, and then pushing the foot out and down. To collapse the hand truck, just follow these same directions in reverse.This particular hand truck does not come with large pneumatic tires so it may not be particularly well suited for handling stairs. Even so, the tires are large enough that it will make do if you have a small step or two to cross. If you need to cross stairs at an entry way, I recommend using a ramp to make the job a bit easier.

Great hand truck
This hand truck is great. It's handle is a little short for people 5'7" or taller. My wife is 5'5" and she would rate it at 5 stars! It's really compact and light but step on the skid plate and pull up the telescoping handle and it's serious hand truck. Push 1 button, slide the handle down and kick up the skid plate and it will fit behind the seat of a pickup truck.

Light weight and mobile
This handtruck folds up nicely for easy storage and transportation. I am able to move items around without straining and without lifting. My able bodied newphews recently used it to move me into my new house. Now I can move the many boxes and unpack them at the bookshelf, file cabinet or other location.

Very Usefull Cart. I keep it in the car all the time
I bought this and the Magna Cart(tm) MCX at the same time. Was tired of carrying stuff. I put both of them in my car. I have used the Magna Cart Flatform hand truck more than the Magna Cart(tm) MCX. Both are great products.The Flatform truck is easy to use. Rolls very smoothly. Folds up very flat. Is sturdy enough to hold the 300 lbs as advertised. It works as advertised. The only negative is that there is no wheel brakes on it. So it will roll away unless the surface is level.I'm going to buy more for Christmas presents this year.

I love this cart!
I have trouble walking and have limited strength due to a disabling illness. I've long dreamed of buying a cart with a big platform for the times that my traditional hand truck isn't appropriate for what I need to move, but never tried to find one. But when I had new rug installed recently, I got motivated to try to find the cart of my dreams. The installers were able to move my furniture -- but only after I'd emptied and moved everything stored in or on top of things. Among other things, I had 6 large bookcases full of books to move. So I knew I had to find a cart to use. Luckily, I found this one, because it works perfectly. I'd been worried about buying the very common, less expensive platform carts because they had tiny wheels that I feared would not move well over the carpet. Simply The Best!
To be quite honest, I purchase a lot of products from Amazon, but rarely take out the time to write a review. However, for this product I must say a few words.No I am not throwing around that 4-star rating effortlessly, however the amount of effort I save by using the Flatform 4 should be recognized. I replaced a set of hand-carts with this hand "truck" and I could not be happier. The construction is superb, it folds down and expands in under 10 seconds and holds a great deal of stuff in place while transporting. It is extremely sturdy (it holds more than 300lbs), although I would not make a habit of it.I would presume that you are interested in purchasing this hand truck because of its unique ability to fold down into such a compact size, and you would be right.
